About

Dr Catherine Hahn is an artist, art facilitator and art historian. She uses drawing, painting and photography to build intimate relationships with the past and counter reductive history-telling. Drawing Out includes the Queer Along the River project, museum detours, collaborations and links to publications and resources. Catherine’s methodology includes art, walks, writing and co-production. Her mobile, multi-modal praxis elicits interaction.

Catherine is currently a visiting Research and Knowledge Exchange Fellow at Goldsmiths with Migrant Futures and working on Queer Along the River. She has taught extensively in Visual Cultures at Goldsmiths and Art History at Kent and is an alumnus of The Slade and Michaelis Fine Art schools. Her PhD is on the Iziko South African National Gallery: The Political House of Art (2016).
